Our Executive Team and founder Headteachers have collaboratively constructed our school improvement model.
Central to our model is ensuring appropriate levels of:
- Support and system leadership
- Quality Assurance
- Monitoring and challenge
- Intervention where needed or requested
Our school improvement model relies on a strong evidence base using a school’s self-audit tool completed in the summer term and on regular analysis and reviews. It therefore contains proactive and reactive elements to effectively support the needs of our individual partner schools.
This model will leverage both internal and external expertise to enhance educational outcomes by incorporating tailored strategies and outside perspectives. This model will involve several key components:
- NEEDS ASSESSMENT: We will conduct a comprehensive needs analysis with school leadership. This may analyse performance indicators, feedback from stakeholders and school resources, including school self evaluation and quality assurance work.
- DATA INFORMED DECISION MAKING: We continuously review progress and evaluate the effectiveness of school improvement efforts with school leaders using data driven feedback mechanisms. We use the information to make informed decisions, adjust strategies as needed and celebrate successes along the way.
- INTERNAL EXPERTISE: We will utilise the knowledge and expertise of leaders, teachers and other staff across the trust. Our professional learning community, where educators collaborate, share best practices and collectively address challenges for improvement.
- EXTERNAL EXPERTISE: We seek support from external consultants, educational specialists or organizations with proven track records in school improvement. These external experts can offer fresh perspectives, access to research based strategies and specialised support in areas such as curriculum development, instructional practices and leadership development.
- TAILORED INTERVENTIONS: We develop and customise improvement plans based on specific needs and priorities identified with the school leaders.
- PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: We ensure ongoing professional development opportunities for teachers and staff to build their skills, knowledge and confidence in implementing chosen improvement strategies. This may include workshops, seminars, coaching and collaborative learning experiences.
- SUSTAINABILITY AND SCALABILITY: We will ensure improvements made are sustainable over the long term and can be scaled up to benefit the entire school or the trust. We will foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation where all stakeholders are engaged in the process of enhancing teaching and learning.
By combining internal and external support and delivering customised improvement models schools can effectively address their unique improvement objectives and strive towards achieving their goals for pupil success.
